Accomodations

UPDATE: 5/5

The Microtel is now totally booked.  There are 12 rooms remaining in our block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Conference Center; those are available for a group rate until 5/23.  There is one luxury suite still available at the Inn at Jim Thorpe as of noon today.

We have reserved blocks of rooms at the Microtel in Hamburg and at the Holiday Inn near Allentown. They are reserved under the name Gallagher-Mann. We have booked rooms for family at Pamela’s Forget-Me-Not and Hawk Mountain Bed and Breakfast, so there will not be rooms available at those places. Family members should contact their duly appointed family representative for more information.  If you are looking to share a room with someone, feel free to use the comments feature of this page to facilitate finding a roommate.

There are many charming Bed and Breakfasts in the Lehigh Valley.  We have reserved a handful of rooms at The Kutztown Mainstreet Inn; you should call to make arrangements to stay there.  Rooms are on the pricey side (150$ a night), but it’s a nice place. This link is a useful resource for finding places to stay.  There is also a (very) rustic campsite at Hawk Mountain for those more ruggedly inclined.  The Appalachian Trail is just down the road.

The Microtel is reasonably close to Hawk Mountain (9 miles) and is directly across the street (read: highway) from Cabela’s and their impressive museum-quality collection of hunting trophies.  The Holiday Inn is farther away (25 miles), however it does have an outdoor pool and access to all that Allentown has to offer.  We have 15 rooms reserved there, but they must be booked by 5/23.  It looks like the rest of the hotel is filling up, so book soon!

If you are looking to turn this into a weekend getaway, you might consider The Inn at Jim Thorpe.

  1. What a beautiful wedding website. I hope you guys will keep it going throughout your long and happy marriage! Where is the photo for ‘Accomodations’ taken from? I didn’t know Hawk Mountain environs had badlands.
